Job summary

Qube Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Night Driver to join the Tesco contract in Goole. This temp-to-perm role involves delivering goods to Tesco stores, completing deliveries safely and on time, and adhering to drivers’ hours regulations.

You’ll work night shifts with ongoing opportunities for reliable drivers. A valid Class 2 license, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph are required; experience on Class 1 is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (C) driving license.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Comfortable with store deliveries and handling cages or roll containers.
• Good understanding of drivers’ hours and road safety regulations.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle to deliver goods to stores.
• Completing store deliveries in line with planned routes and delivery schedules.
• Handling cages and roll containers.
• Safely manoeuvring the vehicle in store delivery areas and loading bays.
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects.
• Completing delivery paperwork and following all delivery procedures.
• Maintaining regular communication with the transport team regarding delays or issues.
• Following drivers’ hours regulations, road traffic laws and company health and safety procedures.
• Providing a professional and courteous service when delivering to Tesco stores.
• Ensuring goods are transported securely and handled with care.
