Job summary

GXO is expanding and seeking experienced Class 2 Drivers to join our Washington, WA38? No, Washington (NE38 9BZ) operation. You will deliver barrels and cases to pub cellars, completing up to 12 drops daily with a driver’s mate, in a safe and efficient manner.

The role is permanent, full-time, 45 hours per week, with start times between 04:00 and 07:00. We offer comprehensive benefits, pension, and access to GXO University for ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Multidrop experience and store deliveries preferred
• A full UK driving licence with category C entitlement
• CPC and Digital Tachograph up-to-date

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle checks, including opening and securing curtain-sided trailers
• Unload kegs and barrels from vehicles onto delivery mats
• Move kegs and barrels safely to cellar or designated storage areas
• Access and work within cellars and similar environments, which may include stairs, restricted spaces, low lighting, and roping/lowering barrels into position
• Position and organise kegs and barrels within the cellar or storage area as required
