Job summary

Driver Hire in Peterhead is seeking Class 2 drivers to perform hands-on driving plus essential labouring duties. You will help clear fuel spillages, remove debris, and handle fallen trees, with training provided for gritters and snow ploughs.

Shifts are flexible and include weeknights, alternating days, plus on-call requirements during every second week and winter weather. Immediate start and ongoing work through the Winter are available.

Qualifications

• Class 2 driving licence and CPC are required.
• Physically fit and willing to carry out labouring duties.
• Immediate start available and ongoing work through the Winter.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 2 vehicle and assist with labouring tasks to keep roads safe and operational.
• Clear fuel spillages, remove debris, deal with fallen trees as part of frontline services.
• Operate with flexibility for night work and on-call shifts during bad weather.

Based Peterhead – Immediate starts, ongoing work

We are recruiting for Class 2 Drivers. This is hands‑on role that combines driving with essential labouring tasks to keep our roads safe and operational. You will be involved in clearing fuel spillages, removing debris, dealing with fallen trees, and more. Training will also be provided to operate gritters and snow ploughs.

Shift & Hours: – flexibility required

• Week nights – week days – alternates


• Every second week your on call; may require early starts, late finishes


• Night work may be required during bad weather (snow/ice)

Pay Rates:

Daily standby payments during on-call periods

• Domestic hours apply

Contract: immediate and ongoing throughout the Winter, with potential temp to perm for the right candidate.

Requirements:

Class 2 driving licence, CPC, – digi tac (n/a – frontline services work)

Physically fit, capable and willing to handle the necessary labouring duties
