Job summary

Backline Logistics are recruiting for Class 2 HGV Drivers to work with one of our established clients in Willand. This role offers day shifts, ongoing work with temp-to-perm opportunities and 12‑hour days.

Applicants should hold a valid Class 2 / Category C licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, with a driver assessment required. Good knowledge of UK roads and a reliable, professional approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 / Category C licence required.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• A driver assessment will be required.
• Good knowledge of UK roads and navigation.
• Reliable, professional and capable of working independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 / Category C vehicles.
• Complete multi‑drop deliveries and occasional collections.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain paperwork.
• Ensure safe and secure transport of goods.
• Provide a professional level of customer service.
• Work safely in line with company and site procedures.

Class 2 HGV Driver

Pay: £16.90 per hour (12 hour days)

Hours: Ongoing

Shifts: 4 out of 7 days per week

Start Date: ASAP

The Role

Backline Logistics are currently recruiting for Class 2 HGV Drivers to work with one of our established clients in Willand.

This is a great opportunity for drivers looking for ongoing work/temp to perm, full-time hours with temp-to-perm opportunities.

No more than 5 points on licence

Day shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 / Category C vehicles
• Complete multi-drop deliveries and collections where required
• Carry out daily vehicle checks
• Complete all delivery paperwork
• Ensure goods are transported safely and securely
• Provide a professional level of customer service
• Work safely and in accordance with company and site procedures

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class 2 / Category C licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• A driver assessment will be required
• Good knowledge of UK roads
• Reliable and professional approach
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
