Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of a well-known client in the Wetherby area for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C). The role involves early starts (05:00–07:00) from Monday to Friday with around 10–15 drops per day in the local area.

Ongoing role with potential permanent placement for the right candidate. An induction/assessment is required prior to starting (6am induction).

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
• 1 year experience on Class 2 vehicles.
• DCPC and Digital Tachograph card valid and in date.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Good understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD) legislation.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries of alcohol to bars and restaurants in the local area.
• Approximately 10–15 drops per day.
• Ensure orders are secured and packaged correctly before departure.
• Inform customers of delays or stock shortages as needed.
• Assist with unloading at customer premises and collect returns.
• Complete paperwork/EPOD tasks and liaise with Transport Management for issues.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Wetherby area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday, typically 05:00am- 07:00am starts

Pay Rate: £16.54 per hour PAYE

Location: Wetherby, LS23

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

Please note an induction/assessment is required for this role prior to starting - 6am for induction.

The role:

• Multi-drop delivering alcohol to bars/ restaurants within the local area
• Around 10 - 15 drops per day
• ensure customer orders are secured and packaged correctly for delivery prior to departure
• Inform the customer of any order delays, stock shortages or problems
• Assist with the unloading of customer orders from the vehicle to the customer premises
• Collect empty kegs/pallets and returns - when back at Depot ensure they are handled and stored correctly within the Warehouse or yard.
• Complete all paperwork/EPOD tasks and any administration tasks Liaise with Transport Management re. vehicle issues/delays

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
• 1 years experience on Class 2
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
