Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment are seeking Class 2 Drivers in Tewkesbury to work with our client, the UK's leading Logistics & Distribution provider. You will be responsible for bulk collections and deliveries using a Class 2 vehicle, with manual handling requirements and some handballing.

You must have a valid Class 2 licence, UK DCPC and Digi-tacho cards, and at least 12 months of commercial driving experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 2 driving licence.
• Minimum 12 months experience driving commercially.
• Must hold UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.
• UK resident with right to work.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 (Cat C) vehicle for bulk collections and deliveries.
• Deliver cages, pallets, stillages and freight to customer sites.
• Adhere to delivery schedules and perform handballing as required.
• Complete vehicle checks and delivery paperwork; log consignments.

Location: Tewkesbury (working from the Gloucester depot from time to time)

Pay Rates: £17.21 to £21.51 p/h

Shifts: Full-time hours - Monday to Friday - 09:00 starts

Experience: Minimum 12 months experience driving commercially

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Driving a Class 2 (Cat C) vehicle
• Bulk collections + deliveries
• Delivering cages, pallets, stillages and freight to customers home
• • Working to a delivery schedule
  • Some handballing will be required
  • Scanning consignments in and out required
• Vehicle checks and the usual defect and delivery paperwork expected

As this is a customer facing role, we are looking for people who are clean and tidy and have the ability to deal with different types of people.

About you:

You must have your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements.

As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations and maintain your own compliance requirements and you will be required to complete a Drug & Alcohol test and also a driving assessment.

You must be a UK resident (we are unable to assist people with VISAs or relocation) and have the relevant Right To Work documentation.
