Job summary

TRC Yorkshire, on behalf of our client in South Kirby (WF9), seeks experienced Class 2 Drivers (CAT C). Hours: Mon-Fri 13:00 start, approx 8-hour shifts, with occasional weekend work. Pay £15.30 per hour PAYE (Mon-Fri), £15.75 Sat, £21 Sun.

You will collect nappies waste from healthcare facilities, prepare the truck, operate the bin pickup, use a PDA, and complete 25–60 collections per shift. Requires clean licence, DBS, DCPC, and WTD understanding.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (C).
• At least 2 years proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• In date enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Understanding of WTD legislation.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to waste management processes.
• Availability for early morning shifts and occasional weekend work.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Physically fit to handle waste containers.

Responsibilities

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the South Kirby area. We are looking for experienced Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 13:00pm start (approximately 8-hour shifts on average) with occasional weekend availability.

Pay Rate: £15.30 per hour PAYE (Mon- Fri), £15.75 per hour PAYE (Sat), £21.00 (Sun)

The role:

• Perform local collections, wheeling bins to the back of the truck, and operating the bin pick-up mechanism.
• Use a PDA for tracking and recording collections.
• Depending on the volume, complete 25 to 60 collections during your shift.
• Maintain physical fitness, as the role involves finding and collecting the bins and at times bringing them to the lorry to lift.
