Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd is recruiting on behalf of our client in the Eastleigh area for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team. The role includes collecting clinical waste from healthcare facilities, preparing vehicles for daily operations and operating a compaction vehicle.

Shifts run Monday to Friday with a 14:00 start; pay is £17.35 per hour PAYE. A full UK driving licence (Class 2), DCPC and Digital Tachograph card, and up to 6 points are required, with a strong emphasis on

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement
• At least 2 years experience driving the relevant vehicle
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only)
• Full understanding of WTD legislation

Responsibilities

• Collect clinical waste from healthcare facilities, including care homes and hospitals.
• Prepare the vehicle for daily operations.
• Utilise a compaction vehicle for waste disposal.
• Perform local collections, wheeling bins to the back of the truck, and operating the bin pickup mechanism.
• Use a PDA for tracking and recording collections.
• Depending on the volume, complete 35 to 60 collections during your shift.
• Maintain physical fitness, as the role involves some heavy lifting.
