Job description

HGV Driver - Immediate start

Runcorn Area

• Job Type: HGV Driver
• Start Date: ASAP
• Start Time: 06:00
• End Time: finish of duties
• Duration: ongoing
• Expected No. of Weekly Hours: 40

Shifts: Monday to Friday (occasional weekend work during peak periods such as Christmas or major sporting events)

You will be responsible for delivering products to customer premises within a specified geographical radius from the depot, with assistance from a Driver's mate.

Excellent customer service is essential, as the customer is at the heart of our business. Every order should be delivered with care, in a friendly manner, and on time.

Applications will only be considered if you have at least 3 years of driving experience and are willing to undergo due diligence checks on your license through the DVLA.

Your working day will typically include:

1. Undertaking vehicle inspection checks
2. Ensuring customer orders are secured and properly packaged for delivery
3. Liaising with your Driver's mate to review the running sheet and customer orders
4. Informing customers of any delays, stock shortages, or issues
5. Assisting with unloading orders at customer premises
6. Collecting empty kegs/pallets and returns, and handling them correctly at the depot
7. Adhering to health and safety procedures
8. Completing paperwork, EPOD tasks, and administrative duties
9. Liaising with Transport Management regarding vehicle issues or delays
10. Ensuring compliance with Tachograph legislation

About you:

We require up to 6 HGV C drivers for a shift starting on Tuesday, 10/06/2025.

Required: Hi-Viz safety gear and safety shoes.

You must pass an English and Maths proficiency test, as well as a Tacho written test, and be capable of making manual entries on the Tacho daily.

This role is physically demanding and requires more than just driving skills.
