Job description

Search are currently recruiting for a number of HGV Class 1 drivers to work on behalf of our prestigious client based in Runcorn. There is ongoing work available with the potential of a permanent role after a qualifying period.

Please note this is 24/7 operation & we have days & nights & weekend shifts available. Immediate paid inductions are available.

Pay rates PAYE (paid breaks)
16.00/h days
18.00/h nights
19.00/h Saturday
20.00/h Sunday

Pay rates PAYE (inc. holiday pay):
17.93/h days
20.17/h nights
21.29/h Saturday
22.41/h Sunday

Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate Class 1 vehicles.
Conduct depot deliveries and collections, ensuring timely and efficient service.
Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members.
Assist with loading and unloading of goods when necessary.

Requirements:
Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving license, CPC, Tacho card.
At least 12 months Experience in general haulage & able to strap
A clean driving record with no major endorsements.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
