Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are seeking Class 2 Drivers in Wokingham to join a team that handles commercial waste disposal and recycling. You will drive a Class 2 refuse vehicle, assist with bin movement, and work with the loading crew on a early-morning shift.

Shifts run Monday to Friday from 04:00 to 06:00 with training in Waverley and weekly pay. A temp-to-perm contract is offered, with potential for career growth in a busy waste environment.

Qualifications

• Class 2 driving licence and at least 6 months of commercial driving experience.
• UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card are required.
• Endorsements DD, TT, DR, CD, IN are not accepted.
• Applicants must be up to date with WTD regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle.
• Collect and deliver food waste bins.
• Work with the loading crew to complete tasks.
• Assist with manual movement of domestic wheelie bins.
• Work safely around pedestrians, traffic and other road users.

Pay Rate: £17.50 per hour + £2.11 holiday pay = £19.61 per hour total

Driver Type: Class 2 - refuse driver

Experience: 6 months class 2 experience - essential

Contract: Temp to Perm (12 weeks)

Previous experience working in the waste industry would be beneficial. One weeks training will be given - this will be in Waverley so its important you can travel.

All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you:

You will have your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 6 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
