Job summary

MacRae Management (East Kilbride) Ltd T/A Driver Hire East Kilbride is seeking a Class 2 Driver for a temporary to permanent position in East Kilbride. The role involves delivering building materials, loading/unloading, and maintaining safety on-site.

HIAB training is provided for the right candidate. The successful driver will work Mon-Fri 7:30am-5:00pm with every second Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm, totaling 42.5 hours weekly.

• Class 2 (LGV Cat C) driver with experience in materials distribution.

Pay: £15.34£16.34 per hour
Hours: MondayFriday, 7:30am5:00pm, plus every second Saturday 8:00am12:00pm
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: 42.5 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join a busy building materials distribution team on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced HGV Class 2 driver looking for a role that could lead to a permanent position, with HIAB training provided for the right candidate.

The Role

• Deliver building materials to customers and sites
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
• Operate the vehicle responsibly and in line with company procedures
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Complete relevant paperwork and delivery documentation
• Work closely with the branch and warehouse teams

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 7:30am5:00pm
• Every second Saturday: 8:00am12:00pm
• 42.5 hours per week

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Ideally experienced in building materials distribution, although this is not essential
• Interested in developing their skills through HIAB training
