Job summary

MacRae Management (East Kilbride) Ltd T/A Driver Hire East Kilbride is recruiting a Class 2 Driver for a temp-to-perm role with HIAB training provided and a clear path to permanent employment. You will deliver building materials, load/unload, and maintain safety and customer service standards.

Working hours are 42.5 per week, Mon-Fri 7:30-17:00 and alternating Saturdays, with ongoing training and development opportunities within the branch and warehouse teams.

Qualifications

• A qualified and experienced Class 2 (LGV Cat C) driver.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
• Customer-focused with a professional approach.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
• Ideally experienced in building materials distribution, though not essential.
• Interested in developing skills through HIAB training.

Pay: £15.34£16.34 per hour
Hours: MondayFriday, 7:30am5:00pm, plus every second Saturday 8:00am12:00pm
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: 42.5 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join a busy building materials distribution team on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced HGV Class 2 driver looking for a role that could lead to a permanent position, with HIAB training provided for the right candidate.

The Role

• Deliver building materials to customers and sites
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
• Operate the vehicle responsibly and in line with company procedures
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Complete relevant paperwork and delivery documentation
• Work closely with the branch and warehouse teams

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 7:30am5:00pm
• Every second Saturday: 8:00am12:00pm
