Job summary

Driver Hire East Kilbride is seeking a qualified Class 2 driver to join a busy building materials distribution team on a temp-to-perm basis. This role offers HIAB training and the potential to move into a permanent position.

Expect 42.5 hours per week, with shifts Monday to Friday 7:30am–5:00pm and every second Saturday 8:00am–12:00pm. Competitive hourly pay (£15.34–£16.34) is provided.

Qualifications

• This role requires a qualified and experienced Class 2 (LGV Cat C) driver.
• Reliability, punctuality and safety-consciousness are essential.
• Customer-focused with a professional approach in a physical distribution environment.
• Experience in building materials distribution is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to customers and sites.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Operate the vehicle responsibly per company procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations.
• Complete delivery paperwork and documentation.
• Collaborate with branch and warehouse teams.

Hours: MondayFriday, 7:30am5:00pm, plus every second Saturday 8:00am12:00pm
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: 42.5 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join a busy building materials distribution team on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced HGV Class 2 driver looking for a role that could lead to a permanent position, with HIAB training provided for the right candidate.

The Role

• Deliver building materials to customers and sites
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
• Operate the vehicle responsibly and in line with company procedures
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Complete relevant paperwork and delivery documentation
• Work closely with the branch and warehouse teams

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 7:30am5:00pm
• Every second Saturday: 8:00am12:00pm
• 42.5 hours per week

About You

• Interested in developing their skills through HIAB training
