Job description

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Milton Keynes.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

As a Class 2 Driver you will receive the following benefits:

Rates of Pay:

• AM Start Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour
• PM Start Pay Rate: £20.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties:

• Store deliveries or mainly caged goods, which can include handball.
• Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly.
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management.
• Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as needed.

As a Class 2 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category C Licence.
• Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving Category C vehicles.
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes.
• Have a valid CPC Card & Digi Card.
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English.
• Punctuality and excellent timekeeping skills.
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations.
• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial.
• Previous experience in multi-drop experience will be beneficial.

Training:

• Industry related training and ongoing support throughout.
• Must pass driving assessment.
