Recruit A Driver is seeking experienced Class 2 Day Drivers for a well-established transport and logistics company based in Wakefield. The role involves pallet network multi-drop deliveries, typically 10 or more drops per day, with modern Euro 6 vehicles equipped with tail lifts and curtain-sides.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 licence (Category C) required.
• Driver CPC qualification card.

Responsibilities

• Complete pallet network multi-drop deliveries.
• Carry out customer collections throughout the day.
• Operate curtain-side and tail-lift vehicles safely.
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks.
• Ensure delivery paperwork is completed accurately.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Comply with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations.

Location: Wakefield
Pay Rate: Competitive (DOE)
Job Type: Ongoing Holiday & Sickness Cover
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Days

About the Role

Recruit A Driver is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 Day Drivers for a well-established transport and logistics company based in Wakefield.

The role involves completing pallet network multi-drop deliveries, typically 10 or more drops per day, before collecting pallets for return to the depot. You'll be driving modern Euro 6, DVS-compliant vehicles fitted with tail lifts and curtain-side bodies.

This client values drivers who know their operation and regularly re-books reliable, site-experienced drivers for holiday and sickness cover.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete pallet network multi-drop deliveries

• Carry out customer collections throughout the day

• Operate curtain-side and tail-lift vehicles safely

• Complete daily vehicle safety checks

• Ensure delivery paperwork is completed accurately

Requirements
