Job summary

DHL is looking for a HGV Class 2 Dray Driver to join our Ipswich team in a permanent, full-time role. Expect early starts from 5:00am, Monday to Friday with four Saturdays per year, and daily drops delivering alcoholic products to pubs, restaurants and hotels.

You will work alongside a Driver's Mate to handle PODs, maintain safety standards and keep the transport team updated on progress. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (C) Licence
• Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points
• Multi-drop HGV driving experience
• Dray or similar delivery experience

Responsibilities

• Delivering alcoholic products to pubs, restaurants and hotels
• Completing 10-12 drops per day (on average)
• Managing manual handling of up to 11 tonnes of stock daily
• Driving safely and in compliance with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive
• Maintaining health & safety and vehicle regulations

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Monday-Friday shift pattern with early starts (from 5:00am)
• 4 Saturdays per year required as part of the role
• Delivering alcoholic products to pubs, restaurants, and hotels
• Completing 10-12 drops per day (on average)
• Managing manual handling of up to 11 tonnes of stock daily
• Driving safely and efficiently, in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Maintaining strict compliance with Health & Safety, road safety laws, and vehicle regulations

Working alongside a Driver's Mate to:

• Support unloading
• Manage Proof of Deliveries (PODs)
• Keep the transport team updated
