Job summary

Rapier Employment is recruiting a HGV Class 2 Driver in Maidstone for immediate starts. You will deliver products directly to customers' homes with a Driver's Mate, maintaining a high standard of professional service while handling manual tasks safely.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• No DR, CD or IN endorsements.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and well organised.
• Ability to successfully complete theory and practical driving assessments.
• Previous multi-drop or home delivery experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Completing multi-drop home deliveries.
• Delivering exceptional customer service at every stop.
• Working closely with your Driver's Mate to complete deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Making customer pre-delivery calls where required.
• Completing Proof of Delivery (POD) accurately.
• Safely unloading goods into customers' homes.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring legal compliance.
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on schedule.

HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driver

Location: Maidstone. Full-Time | Ongoing Work | Immediate Starts.

Pay Rates £18.38 per hour, £27.56 per hour after 48 hours worked. Weekly PAYE pay. Holiday pay accrued separately.

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you'll work alongside a dedicated Driver's Mate, delivering products directly to customers' homes. You'll be the face of the business, providing a professional, friendly, and reliable service while ensuring every delivery is completed safely and efficiently. This is a physically demanding role involving manual handling, making it ideal for drivers who enjoy being active and working as part of a team.
