Job summary

Pure Staff’s Driving Team is recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for an established distribution business based in Didcot, Oxfordshire. This is a Monday to Friday, day-shift role with typical start times between 05:00 and 07:00, and average shifts around 10 hours.

You will perform multi-drop deliveries in a Class 2 vehicle to wholesale and retail customers, following planned routes and verifying deliveries with PODs.

Qualifications

• Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / DQC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous HGV driving experience.
• Multi-drop experience or confidence working within a busy multi-drop environment.
• Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours, Working Time and tachograph requirements.
• Good customer-service and communication skills.
• Careful and reliable, with good timekeeping.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver multi-drop loads across Didcot and surrounding areas.
• Follow planned routes and delivery manifests.
• Check deliveries and obtain proof of delivery.
• Perform daily vehicle and safety checks.
• Provide professional service when delivering to customers.
• Operate electric pallet truck for unloading stock.

£15.98 – £21.48 per hour | Monday to Friday | Ongoing Work

Pure Staff’s Driving Team are recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for an established distribution business based in Didcot , Oxfordshire. This is a Monday to Friday position, typically starting at 05:00 to 07:00, with shifts averaging around 10 hours. You’ll be completing multi-drop deliveries across Didcot and surrounding areas in an Class 2 Vehicle, delivering to wholesale and retail customers.

Pay & Details for a Class 2 Driver

• Monday to Friday (Days) = £15.98ph or £17.91 with holiday pay rolled-up
• Monday to Friday (pre 6am) = £19.17ph or £21.48 with holiday pay rolled-up
• Accurate & reliable weekly pay every Thursday evening / Friday morning.
• Monday to Friday only
• No weekend shifts currently required.
• Ongoing, full-time hours.
• Direct PAYE employment direct with Pure Staff – no umbrella companies or payroll processing fees.

The rates above include an additional 12.07% Rolled-Up Holiday Pay. Prefer traditional holiday pay? No problem. You can instead have your holiday pay accrued separately and paid when you take annual leave.

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you’ll be responsible for:

• Typically 8 Drops
• Following planned routes and daily delivery manifests.
• Checking deliveries and obtaining proof of delivery.
• Completing daily vehicle and safety checks.
• Providing a professional service when delivering to customers.
• Electric Pallet truck for unloading stock No Handball

Our Requirements

To be considered, you will need:

• Category C (Class 2) driving licence.

Previous experience within food distribution, wholesale or London multi-drop delivery work as a Class 2 Driver would be advantageous.
