Job summary

Venatu Recruitment Group, specialists in the transport industry, is actively seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our client's team in Doncaster. This role involves driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle and carrying out the efficient collection of commercial food waste and recycling.

Shifts are typically five days a week, Monday to Friday, with early start times and varying finish times depending on routes.

Qualifications

• Must have a clean driving licence with zero penalty points.
• Must hold a valid Driver CPC.

Location: Doncaster, DN5
Working Schedule: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 06:00 am to approximately 15:00–16:00
Hourly Pay: £15.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and professionally driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle.
• Collecting food waste and recycling bins.
• Efficiently collecting waste from private and commercial premises.
• Following all relevant health and safety procedures.

Working Conditions

• Consistent five-day working week, Monday to Friday.

Shifts may start as early as 01:00 am and will finish once the scheduled run is complete. Flexibility is essential, as start and finish times will vary depending on the route and type of waste collection required.

For example, school waste can only be collected during school hours, whereas restaurant waste collections may need to take place outside normal operating hours. Employees must therefore be flexible with their working hours to meet the specific requirements of each run.

• week based on around 46.25 per week but a 8 hour you guaranteed 8 hours per day
• Temporary position initially, with the potential for a permanent role if you are the right

Candidate Requirements

• Must be aged 25 or over to meet insurance requirements.
• Clean driving licence with zero penalty points.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No previous disqualifications or relevant driving endorsements (NI, DD or DR).
• Strong work ethic, a positive attitude and flexibility.
