Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc in Dartford, Kent is hiring a Class 2 Driver to join our Ikea contract. You will operate in a two-person delivery team, delivering furniture to customers’ rooms and providing a first-class service.

This full-time role is 48 hours per week on a 5 days on/3 days off pattern, with start times 05:00–05:30. A Full UK driving licence (Category C) and a clean licence (no more than 6 points) are required; a DBS check will be completed for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver furniture as part of a two-person team to customers’ rooms.

AtGXO, we’re expanding and looking for dedicated drivers to join our energetic team atDartford, Kent working on our Ikea contract. As aClass 2 Driveryou will be delivering furniture forIKEAalongside a Drivers Mate who will assist in the lifting and shifting of items. Customer service will be at the heart of this role!

This is a full time, permanent role you will be working48 hoursper week on a shift pattern of5 days on, 3 days offover an8-week rota or Monday-Fridaywith start times between05:00 - 05:30.

What you will do on a typical day:

• Working as a 2-person delivery team, delivering furniture products into a room of choice at customers’ homesand providing a first-class customer service experience
• Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly secured
• Completion of tachographs in line with legislation and company policies
• Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• This is a physically demanding role which includes lifting and shifting of furniture
• Full UK driving licence with category C entitlement
• No more than6current penalty points
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements within the previous 5 years
• Previous experience driving category C vehicles is desirable
• DBS security check will be completed on the successful candidate
