Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are recruiting Class 2 Drivers for our client in Glasgow, a waste management services provider. The role requires 12 months Class 2 tipper experience, a UK DCPC card and Digi‑tacho card, and offers a temp-to-perm option after 12 weeks with shifts from 06:00 Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays.

Pay rates range from £16.07 to £18.00 per hour with weekly pay and overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Driving and operating a Class 2 tipper vehicle.
• Collections & deliveries as required.

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Complete digital paperwork via tablet systems.
• Work in line with WTD, drivers' hours and waste duty of care.

Role & Responsibilities

• Driving and operating a Class 2 tipper vehicle
• Collections & deliveries as required
• Planning routes efficiently to maximise productivity

• Working in line with WTD, drivers' hours and waste duty of care

All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following safety procedures.

About you

You will have your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. Previous experience driving and operating a tipper is essential. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi‑tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations. You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
