Job summary

Empowered Personnel is recruiting an experienced Class 2 Driver for a Coventry-based client. The role offers a 12-week temp-to-perm contract with competitive hourly pay and the chance to secure a permanent position after a successful trial period.

The driver will operate a manual Class 2 vehicle, complete 4–6 drops per day, and work 10–12 hour shifts starting early in the morning, with occasional nightouts and a £25 night out allowance.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
• CPC or Driver CPC required.
• Digital Tachograph Card must be valid.

Responsibilities

• Drive a manual Class 2 vehicle to deliver palletised goods.
• Deliver palletised goods to retail stores with accuracy.
• Complete an average of 4–6 drops per day.
• Handball and use pump truck as required.
• Work shifts of 10–12 hours with early start times.
• Occasional nightouts (approx. 3–4 per month) with £25 night out allowance.

Pay: £17.00 per hour (Temporary) | £19.22 per hour (Permanent)

Empowered Personnel is recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers on behalf of a well-established client based in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent role after a successful 12-week temporary period with competitive pay, regular work and excellent earning potential.

The Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering palletised goods to retail stores using a manual Class 2 vehicle.

Your Duties Will Include

• Driving a manual Class 2 (Category C) vehicle
• Delivering palletised goods to retail stores
• Completing an average of 4–6 drops per day
• Handballing goods where required
• Using a pump truck to assist with deliveries
• Working shifts of approximately 10–12 hours
• Start times between 4:00am and 6:00am
• Completing approximately 3–4 nights out per month (£25 night out allowance)

Pay & Benefits

• Temporary (First 12 Weeks) – £17.00 per hour. Estimated annual earnings: £44,200–£53,040
• Permanent – £19.22 per hour. Estimated annual earnings: £49,972–£59,966

Requirements

• A valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence
• A valid Driver CPC
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• At least 2 years’ Class 2 driving experience
• No more than 6 penalty points
