Job summary

The Best Connection is currently recruiting an HGV Class 2 Driver for our client, a leading food wholesaler and distributor based in Birtley, Gateshead. The role is a temporary assignment offering 45 hours per week, day shifts, and involves delivering chilled and frozen goods with manual handling.

Based in Birtley, you will need to perform handballing, daily vehicle checks, and provide a professional service to customers. DBS check will be covered by The Best Connection.

Qualifications

• Experience with multi-drop deliveries of chilled or frozen foods.
• Ability to carry out daily vehicle checks and routine maintenance.
• Capable of manual handling and safe unloading of goods.

Responsibilities

• Drive an HGV Class 2 / Category C vehicle

HGV Class 2 Driver / LGV Class 2 Driver / Category C Driver for our client, a leading food wholesaler and distributor based in

Birtley, Gateshead.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced

temporary HGV driving work in Birtley and the Gateshead area.

You will be responsible for multi-drop deliveries of chilled and frozen food to a variety of customer locations. The role involves handballing and unloading products, so applicants must be comfortable with

manual handling and heavy lifting.

The Role

As an

HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:

• Driving an HGV Class 2 / Category C vehicle
• Delivering chilled and frozen food products
• Delivering to a variety of customer locations
• Handballing and unloading products
• Manual handling and heavy lifting
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Providing a professional service when making deliveries

Pay & Hours

£17.52 per hour PAYE

45 hours per week

Some deliveries are made to

schools and prisons, so successful applicants will be required to undertake a
