Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking an experienced Class 2/7.5T Delivery Driver for our Home Delivery team in Bedford (MK43 0ZY). This full-time, permanent role involves 48 hours per week, 4 out of 6 days, with start times between 05:00 and 07:00. DBS clearance is required.

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 or 7.5T entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card.

• Excellent time management and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle following road and vehicle regulations.
• Deliver products to customer premises and assist with heavy lifting as required.
• Log product returns accurately during deliveries and manage tachographs.
• Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle checks and report defects promptly.

Here atGXO Logistics, we are looking for a full-time, permanent Class 2/7.5T Delivery Driver,to join our Home Delivery team inBedford, MK43 0ZY.

You’ll be working on a full time, permanent basis, 48 hoursper week, 4 out of 6 days with the start time window between05:00 and 07:00, flexibility required for earlier start times when needed. You will be responsible for delivering products to customer premises. All successful candidates will require a DBS clearance.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Safely operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle in full compliance with road traffic and vehicle legislation and ensuring the vehicle and stock are always properly secured
• Deliver products ensuring all items are handled correctly, some hand balling/heavy lifting involved
• Collect and accurately log product returns during deliveries
• Complete tachographs in compliance with legal and company requirements. Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle checks and promptly report any defects

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A full UK driving licence with category Class 2 or 7.5T grandfather entitlement
• A valid Driver Qualification Card and valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
• Excellent Time management skills and comfortable in working to deadlines, excellent communication and customer service skills are essential
