Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Class 2 Delivery Driver to join the Cormar Carpets team in Sherburn, LS25 6JH. This full-time, permanent role offers a 50-hour week starting at 06:00, with duties including multi-drop deliveries to warehouses and stores.

The role requires a full UK driving licence (Class 2), valid Driver Qualification Card, and Digital Tachograph Card, with strict adherence to safety and punctuality, and the ability to provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement.
• Driver Qualification Card (DQC) valid.
• Digital Tachograph Card valid.
• No more than 6 current penalty points.
• No DR/DG/DD/BA/CD/LC/TT99 endorsements in last 5 years.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 2 vehicle in compliance with laws and company procedures.
• Multidrop deliveries to high street stores and warehouses.
• Physical duties including lifting, loading, unloading and handballing stock.
• Provide excellent customer service and record product returns accurately.

Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a full-time, permanent Class 2 Delivery Driver, to join our Cormar Carpets team in Sherburn, LS25 6JH.

You’ll be working on a full time, permanent basis 50 hours per week Monday to Friday starting at 06:00. You will be responsible for multidrop deliveries to warehouses and stores.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle in full compliance with road traffic laws, vehicle regulations, and company procedures
• Multidrop deliveries to high street stores and warehouses, ensuring accurate handling, secure transportation, and timely delivery
• This is a physically demanding role, duties including lifting, loading, unloading, and handballing stock
• Provide excellent customer service while collecting and accurately recording product returns
• Complete vehicle safety checks, maintain tachograph records, reported defects, and always ensure vehicle and stock security

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A full UK driving licence with category Class 2 entitlement
• A valid Driver Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
• Excellent Time management skills and comfortable in working to deadlines, excellent communication and customer service skills are essential
