Job summary

Class 2 Driver – Barnsley is a long-term driving role delivering tables and chairs across the UK. It involves manual handling, loading/unloading, and staying compliant with drivers’ hours and safety rules.

Earn £14.50 per hour plus £22.50 night out allowance and £10 meal allowance, with weekly pay. Regular nights out (3–4 per week) and a temp-to-perm path offer strong earning potential and full M4 Specialist support.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience preferred
• No more than 6 penalty points (for minor offences)
• Good understanding of drivers hours and working time regulations

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 vehicle safely and professionally
• Deliver tables and chairs to customer sites nationwide
• Load and unload deliveries
• Complete vehicle checks and relevant paperwork
• Provide excellent customer service
• Adhere to all road transport and health & safety regulations
• Complete regular nights out (3–4 per week)

Looking for long-term, ongoing Class 2 driving work with the opportunity to secure a permanent position? M4 Specialist is recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Class 2 Driver to join our client based in Barnsley.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established business delivering tables and chairs across the UK, with regular nights out and excellent earning potential.

Start Times

• Between 4:00 AM – 6:00 AM
• Monday to Friday

The Role for a Class 2 Driver

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering tables and chairs to customers nationwide. This is a physically demanding role and will involve manual handling as part of the delivery process.

What You'll Be Doing as a Class 2 Driver

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle safely and professionally
• Delivering tables and chairs to customer sites
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Completing vehicle checks and relevant paperwork
• Providing excellent customer service
• Adhering to all road transport and health & safety regulations
• Completing regular nights out (typically 3–4 per week)

What We're Looking For from a Class 2 Driver

• A positive and professional attitude
• Good level of physical fitness due to manual handling requirements
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Excellent customer service skills
• Previous multidrop or furniture delivery experience would be advantageous but is not essential
