Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Ashton-under-Lyne is seeking a HGV Class 2 driver to join our delivery fleet. You will work Mon-Fri day shifts with possible overtime and occasional nights out, operating an 18 tonne curtainsided double deck vehicle with moving platform.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 1 or 2 licence (C), Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, plus a minimum 12 months of driving experience. You will use handheld devices to track deliveries and ensure compliance with safety rules.

• Valid HGV Class 1 or 2 licence (C) and Driver CPC required.
• Digital Tachograph Card mandatory.
• Minimum 12 months driving experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work Mon-Fri day shifts with a 6.30am start; overtime available.
• Complete regular nights out shifts (approx twice a week).
• Operate Class 2 (18 tonne) curtainsided vehicle with moving platform.
• Use handheld terminal to track deliveries and routes.
• Deliver to commercial properties nationwide and manage pallets on delivery.

Pay Rate: £28, 505.94 - Basic Salary Plus Quarterly bonus + £26.20 Night out Rate, + Overtime at T x 1.5 after 8 hours = £40K OTE

DHL, award winning leading supply chain business is seeking a HGV Class 2 driver to play a vital role in our distribution service.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Work Mon-Fri day shifts, 6.30am start time (Approx 10 hours Overtime available per week at Time and a half available)
• Complete nights out shifts (Approx twice a week - could be more or could be less - depends on the needs of the business)
• Operate Class 2, 18 tonne curtainsided double deck vehicle with moving platform
• Use hand held terminal to track products and deliveries
• Deliver our products to commercial properties nationwide
• Operate pallet truck when delivering goods
• Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 or 2 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Have 12 months recent driving experience (minimum)
