Job summary

AFI-Rentals is recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver based from Wakefield (Normanton) to deliver and collect hire machines to/from customer sites in the local area.

This 45-hour-per-week contract offers a basic salary of £33,930 with an OTE around £37k–£38k (driver bonus and overtime), plus a contributory pension and other benefits. We provide an extensive training induction, including IPAF operator and load/unload training.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class 2 licence.
• Experience with multi-drop delivery/collections.
• Must hold your Driver CPC.
• Outgoing and enthusiastic.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly approach are essential.
• Timekeeping and using initiative are important.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect hire machines to/from customer sites in and around the Wakefield area.
• Work from Wakefield (Normanton) base on a 45-hour contract.
• Full training induction programme including IPAF Operator and load/unload training.

We are currently looking to recruit a Class 2 HGV Driver based from Wakefield, from where you will deliver and collect our hire machines to/from customer sites in and around the local area.

This is a 45 hour contract. The salary for this role is £33,930 basic, with OTE of around £37k to £38k (inc driver bonus and Overtime), Upon successful completion of probation, plus overtime, bonus, contributory pension and other benefits.

• You must hold a Class 2 licence.
• You will have experience with multi-drop delivery/collections.
• You must hold your driver CPC.
• You must be outgoing and enthusiastic.
• As this is a customer-facing role, excellent communication skills and a friendly approach are a must.
• Timekeeping and using your initiative will be important aspects of this role, so you should be proficient in these skills.

• A CSCS card would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Experience in loading/unloading plant would be favourable but again is not essential as full training will be given.
• You will also receive an excellent training induction programme, including approved IPAF Operator and load/unload training.
