Job summary

THX Ltd is seeking a Customer Delivery Operative - HGV Class 2 to deliver hire equipment to customers and provide outstanding service. You will drive, load/unload, and ensure timely, friendly delivery while working with other teams to meet targets.

The role emphasizes safety, customer satisfaction, and active participation in process improvements, with potential involvement in warehouse/workshop during slower periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in providing excellent customer service.
• Valid UK HGV Class 2 licence and CPC.
• Experience driving and delivering goods.
• Familiarity with IT and navigation systems.
• IPAF licence considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customers receive hire equipment on time and in a friendly manner.
• Aim to meet 98% on-time delivery.
• Resolve problems promptly, communicating with customers and colleagues.
• Load and unload equipment using appropriate lifting equipment and manual handling.
• Follow safe working practices while driving and loading/unloading.
• During quieter periods, support Warehouse and/or Workshop departments.

Job description

We are looking for a Customer Delivery Operative - HGV Class 2 to deliver goods to customers, whilst also providing an excellent customer service experience. Are you looking to become a part of a team that is transforming customer experience in a growing industry?

In this role, you will:

• Take pride in being responsible for ensuring customers receive the hire equipment they have ordered or collected, on time and in a positive, friendly manner
• Ensure we meet our target of 98% on-time delivery
• Resolve problems promptly, communicating with customers and colleagues as needed
• Load and unload THX's hire equipment using appropriate lifting equipment and manual handling techniques
• Follow safe working processes while driving and loading/unloading

YOU MAY ALSO:

• Communicate with colleagues in other departments to ensure customer requirements are met
• Operate THX's delivery IT system, updating the system data and taking pictures of equipment
• Raise issues and opportunities to improve the THX operations
• Identify sales opportunities while travelling and report these back to the sales team
• During quieter periods, you may be required to support our Warehouse and/or Workshop department

The full-time schedule ranges from start times between 5:00am-7.30am, Monday to Friday.

Requirements

IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU HAVE:

• Experience in providing excellent customer service
• A valid, clean UK HGV Class 2 licence and up-to-date CPC
• Experience in driving and delivering goods
• Familiarity with IT and navigation systems

You will also ideally have a current IPAF licence.
