Job summary

Booker Group in Glasgow is hiring a delivery driver to work locally, building relationships with regular customers and ensuring shelves are stocked with the products they need.

This 45-hour week includes Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays, a 7-day operation with shifts that may include weekends, and a fully funded CPC training.

Qualifications

• CatC / 18T licence is required.
• Previous experience of driving (at least two years).
• Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loading stock into the vehicle at the branch and unloading at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Make sure customers have the products they need and keep shelves full.
• Build good relationships with regular customers during local deliveries.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. You will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

This is a 7 day operation, our shift patternsmay include some weekend working.

Main Responsibilities

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

CatC / 18T Licence / Class 2

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
