Job summary

Driver Hire Chester and North Wales is recruiting for a daytime Class 2 Concrete Mixer in Wrexham, Monday to Friday with a 07:00 start. You will load, deliver to depots, and handle paperwork while maintaining vehicle safety and customer service.

A valid Category C or C+E licence with Driver CPC is required; MP Connect Card is desirable and can be gained through training. Local route knowledge and strong time management are essential; occasional nights/weekends may be needed.

Qualifications

• A valid Category C or C+E licence and a current Driver CPC qualification.
• Proven experience as an HGV driver preferred.
• MP Connect Card desired, however this can be taken as part of training.
• Good knowledge of local road networks and route planning.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• A hard-working and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work variable hours, with the availability for occasional nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle checks and report any faults or issues.
• Load and unload goods using appropriate manual handling techniques or equipment.
• Deliver concrete, coated asphalt, and aggregates to customers or depots on time, ensuring accurate paperwork and documentation.
• Maintain communication with the Distribution Department regarding delays, issues, or route changes.
• Ensure security of the load during transit.
• Complete delivery logs, timesheets, and any required digital entries accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
• Ensure all deliveries comply with legal requirements, prioritising health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Contribute to the team by maintaining a flexible approach to working hours.

Job description

Our client operates out of Wrexham, we are recruiting for a Day time Class 2 Concrete Mixer Monday to Friday with a 0700 start, Flexibility will be required within the working week, you will be paid a minimum of 40hrs a week

Perform daily vehicle checks and report any faults or issues

Rates of Pay

PAYE-£15.45ph or £17.31ph (ADV)-Overtime after 48hrs at £20.70ph or £23.20ph (ADV)
