Job summary

Driver Hire seeks a Day time Class 2 Concrete Mixer driver for a Monday to Friday role with a 0700 start. Flexibility within the week is required and a minimum of 40 hours per week is expected. You will load, drive and deliver concrete, coated asphalt and aggregates while maintaining documentation and safe practices.

Role demands a valid Class 2/C-CE licence, Driver CPC, and good knowledge of local routes. MP Connect Card assistance is available, and a professional, customer-focused approach

Qualifications

• Valid Category C or C+E licence.
• Current Driver CPC qualification.
• Proven experience as an HGV driver preferred; training can be offered.
• MP Connect Card required or arrangements can be made.
• Good knowledge of local road networks and route planning.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Hard-working, positive attitude with willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work variable hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle checks and report faults.
• Load and unload goods using manual handling techniques or equipment.
• Deliver concrete, coated asphalt, and aggregates to customers or depots on time with accurate paperwork.
• Maintain communication with Distribution Department about delays or route changes.
• Ensure load security during transit and complete delivery logs and timesheets accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Job description

Our client operates out of Wrexham, we are recruiting for a Day time Class 2 Concrete Mixer Monday to Friday with a 0700 start, Flexibility will be required within the working week, you will be paid a minimum of 40hrs a week

Perform daily vehicle checks and report any faults or issues

Load and unload goods using appropriate manual handling techniques or equipment

Deliver concrete, coated asphalt, and aggregates to customers or depots on time, ensuring accurate paperwork and documentation

Maintain communication with the Distribution Department regarding delays, issues, or route changes

Ensure security of the load during transit

Complete delivery logs, timesheets, and any required digital entries accurately

Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner

Ensure all deliveries comply with legal requirements, prioritising the health, safety, and environmental standards of our client

Contribute to the team by maintaining a flexible approach to working hours.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

A valid Category C or C+E licence and a current Driver CPC qualification
