Job summary

Pertemps Sheffield is seeking an HGV Class 2 ADR Driver to support Brinsworth and surrounding sites. You will perform multi-drop deliveries of gas cylinders, follow strict Health & Safety protocols and deliver outstanding customer service. The role is temporary, full-time with a rotating weekend schedule and potential overnight stays with expenses covered.

On-site induction and one-to-one training are provided to prepare you for daily duties.

Qualifications

• Must hold ADR Class 2 licence (packages).
• HGV entitlement with at least 3 years driving experience for insurance purposes.
• Licence must have no more than 6 points and exclude CU80, DD, IN10 or DR10 endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop route with 15–20 drops per day delivering gas cylinders.
• Adhere to Health & Safety procedures as directed by the client.
• Provide excellent customer service and on-site training as required.

Job description

An exciting opportunity for an HGV Class 2 ADR Driver to work for one of the most prestigious companies based in Brinsworth. The company offer continuous work-related training which in most cases count towards driver CPC modules.

The company is the largest supplier of industrial gases and related equipment in the United Kingdom.

Duties

• Multi dropping approximately 15-20 drops per day delivering gas cylinders to customers in around the area.
• Adhering to strict Health & Safety operations as directed by the client.
• Providing outstanding customer service.

Candidates will attend a driving assessment & interview process with the client prior to selection, if successful you will receive full paid site induction and one-to-one training on-site ahead of undertaking your normal duties.

This is a temporary (ongoing) position on a full-time basis, including an occasional weekend rota as this is 7 day a week operation. While this position is mostly based out of their Brinsworth depot, there will also be a requirement to support at other sites to cover sickness and holidays. In these instances, overnight stays may be required, but hotel and travel expenses will be covered.

Experience & Skills

• A valid ADR licence with classification 2 (in packages) is essential;
• Have held the HGV entitlement for a minimum of 3 years, for insurance purposes;
• Driving licence must not exceed 6 points or include CU80, DD, IN10 or DR10 endorsements, for insurance purposes;
