Job summary

RecruitMe is seeking an experienced Class 1 Welder, Fabricator or Plater for a permanent day-shift role in our manufacturing team. This position offers an excellent package, opportunity to work on high-integrity fabrication projects, and long-term career stability.

You will read drawings, fabricate to ISO 3834 and ASME IX standards, handle metric and imperial measurements, and pass a Class 1 TIG fillet weld test. Overtime available; benefits include pension and private healthcare.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Class 1 Welder / Fabricator / Plater.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Pressure Vessel, Pipefitting, Heavy Engineering or high-integrity fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret isometric and engineering drawings.
• Experience with metric and imperial measurements.
• Familiar with carbon steel, stainless steel and high-nickel alloys.
• Knowledge of WPS documentation and welding procedures.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Must pass Class 1 TIG fillet weld test.
• Experience with X-ray/radiographic inspection advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality welded and fabricated components to demanding engineering standards.
• Read and interpret isometric and engineering drawings.
• Fabricate from detailed technical drawings.
• Work with metric and imperial measurements.
• Material preparation including cutting, sawing, drilling, grinding, pipe bending and threading.
• Carry out Class 1 / ISO 3834 fabrication and welding.
• Read and follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Plan fabrication sequences to maintain workflow and delivery schedules.
• Maintain high standards of quality, workmanship and safety.
