Job summary

Global Ardour Recycling in Tipton, West Midlands, is seeking a Class 1 Walking Floor Driver to join our team. You will operate a Class 1 vehicle, handle walking floor trailers, and manage deliveries between depots with a strong focus on safety and customer service.

The role runs Monday to Friday from 06:00, with well-maintained vehicles and pre-planned routes. We value reliability, professional appearance, and the ability to work independently while supporting the team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Driving and operating a Class 1 vehicle.
• Operating walking floor / moving floor trailers within the waste and recycling sector.
• Completing deliveries and collections between depots.
• Complete daily vehicle check sheets and defect reports as directed by the Transport Operations Manager.
• Observe all relevant driving laws and regulations.
• Use tachographs correctly and comply with drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Always provide good customer service, both over the telephone and face to face.
• Observe all health and safety requirements as directed.
• Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of vehicles and work areas at all times.
• Plan routes in the most time and fuel-efficient manner.
• Work Monday to Friday with 06:00 start times.
• Complete long, steady shifts with full use of driving hours.
• Any other duties as directed by the Transport Operations Manager.
