Job summary

Global Ardour Recycling is seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver to join our Transport Team at the Erith site. You will drive a Class 1 vehicle with various trailers, perform daily checks, and operate tachographs while delivering excellent customer service.

This role requires flexibility for nights out (up to four nights per week) and adherence to driving laws, health and safety, and company policies. Pre/post-employment drug testing applies.

Qualifications

• Experience driving a Class 1 vehicle.
• Driver CPC required or willing to obtain.
• ADR training and FLT training preferred.
• Pre- and post-employment drug testing may apply.

Responsibilities

• Driving and operating a Class 1 vehicle.
• Operate one vehicle with trailers (bulker, curtain, flat).
• Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reports as directed by transport team.
• Use tachographs (digital and analogue).
• Customer focused with a professional approach.
• Adhere all driving laws and regulations.
• Provide good customer service (phone or face-to-face).
• Adhere health and safety requirements.
• Maintain tidiness and cleanliness as directed.
• Undertake nights out up to four nights per week as required.
• Carry out other duties as directed by the transport team.
• Work nights out where necessary.
• Load/unload own trailer with FLT.

The role:

We are looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver to join our Transport Team based out of our site in Erith.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving and operating a Class 1 vehicle.
• To operate one vehicle with a variety of trailers, eg, bulker, curtain, flat
• Complete daily vehicle check sheets and defect reports as directed by the transport team.
• Use of tachographs, digital and analogue.
• Customer focussed with a professional approach to the job
• Adhere all relevant driving laws and regulations.
• Always provide good customer service (via telephone or face to face).
• Adhere all health and safety requirements as directed.
• Always maintain tidiness and cleanliness as directed.
• Undertaking nights out up to four nights per week, as required by the Company.
• Any other duties as directed by the transport team.
• To work nights out where necessary
• Loading / unloading own trailer with FLT

Requirements:

• Experience of driving and using a Class 1 vehicle
• Knowledge of Driver’s hours and working time directive’s regulations.
• Smart and professional appearance.
• The ability to work both as part of the team and by yourself.
• Driver CPC
• FLT training
• ADR training (willing to undergo training)
