Job summary

XPO Logistics in Castleford is recruiting LGV CE drivers to join our team. You will drive HGV Class 1 vehicles across the UK, delivering and collecting Mechanical handling equipment (MHE), loading at depots and delivering to customers in a professional, safety-conscious manner.

The role is a Monday–Friday day shift with guaranteed hours and opportunities for overtime. You will be part of a team including transport ops and managers, with access to ongoing training and benefits.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 driving license if applicable.
• Excellent customer-facing communication.
• Technically minded and safety-conscious.
• Willing to work a Monday–Friday day shift; overtime available.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and courteously.
• Deliver and collect MHE across the UK.
• Load at depots and deliver to customers.
• Maintain professional appearance in a customer-facing role.
• Ensure goods are properly strapped before journeys.

We are currently recruiting LGV CE Drivers to join our team in Castleford, working in partnership with Toyota.

• Guaranteed 48hrs per week.
• Average 9.6 hours per day Monday -Friday £15.96 ph
• Overtime after 9.6hrs £23.94

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

• You will be safely driving our HGV Class 1 Vehicles in a courteous manner

• Must be technically minded
• Making sure all goods are correctly strapped before commencing journeys
