Job summary

Blue Arrow, in partnership with XPO Logistics, is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 tramper driver based at Castleford depot. The role offers a temp-to-perm path, Monday to Friday, with regular overnights and steady work.

Shifts typically run 9–10 hours, including 4 nights out per week. Benefits include weekly pay, full PAYE, paid parking, and ongoing opportunities across the UK, with potential permanent employment at XPO Logistics.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (CE) license.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 2 years' Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 3 penalty points.
• Willingness to stay away from home during the week.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries and collections across customer sites.
• Collect vehicle from Castleford depot.
• Deliver pallet trucks and FLTs.
• Complete vehicle checks and relevant paperwork.
• Provide a professional service to customers at all times.

HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver

Castleford | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity | Monday to Friday

Blue Arrow is proud to be working in partnership with XPO Logistics to recruit an experienced HGV Class 1 (CE) Tramper Driver based from their Castleford depot.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Class 1 driver seeking a long-term position with regular overnight stays, consistent work, and the potential to secure a permanent role with a leading logistics provider.

Pay & Benefits

• £15.96 per hour for the first 9.6 hours worked
• £23.96 per hour after 9.6 hours
• £26.20 nightly allowance for each night out
• All parking costs paid
• Weekly pay
• Full PAYE employment
• Temp-to-perm opportunity

The Role

• Working Monday to Friday
• Tramping role with 4 nights out per week
• Collecting your vehicle from the Castleford depot
• Delivering and collecting pallet trucks and FLTs
• Deliveries and collections across customer sites, including Warrington and Mulberry locations
• Completing vehicle checks and relevant paperwork
• Providing a professional service to customers at all times

Typical shifts are around 9-10 hours per day, although additional hours may be required during peak periods.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (CE) license
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 2 years' Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 3 penalty points
• No bans, DR, DD, CD, IN or major endorsements
• Comfortable working away from home during the week
• Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
