Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited is recruiting for a Class 1 Shunter/Tipper Driver on the British Steel site in Scunthorpe, offering guaranteed hours and a route to a permanent contract. The role includes shunting, transporting coal and coke, and working in a busy industrial environment.

Shifts are 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off, with days 06:00–18:00 and nights 18:00–06:00. Basic pay is £17.13 per hour, with weekday overtime at £22.27 per hour, and a temp-to-perm pathway is available.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C+E licence.
• CPC Driver Qualification Card required.
• Digi-Card required.
• Site induction completed.

based on the British Steel site, offering guaranteed hours, excellent pay and the opportunity to secure a

permanent contract.

Duties Include:

• Transporting coal and coke across the British Steel site

Shunting trailers across various areas on site

• Working safely within a busy industrial environment

Shift Pattern:

• 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off rotation

Shift Times:

Days: 06:00 - 18:00

Nights: 18:00 - 06:00

Pay Rates

Standard Rate: £17.13 per hour

Week day Overtime £22.27 per hour
