Gregory Distribution is seeking a Class 1 Shunter to manage yard movements, trailer handling, and safe vehicle checks at our UK depot. You will work with the transport team to coordinate movements, assist with local deliveries, and participate in ongoing training to uphold our safety standards.

The role requires a valid UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence, Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph Card. Overtime rates apply, with enhanced pay on public holidays, and a comprehensive benefits package is

Formación

• Must hold a valid UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
• Possess a current Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous tug experience is advantageous; however, full training will be provided.
• Strong geographical knowledge and route-planning awareness.
• Able to work efficiently to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Shunt, load, and unload trailers across the depot, ensuring safe positioning within bays and yard locations.
• Assist with day-to-day yard operations to maintain a safe, efficient working environment.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks using company-issued technology.
• Work with the transport team, providing updates on trailer movements and load status.
• Carry out local collections and deliveries when required.
• Take part in ongoing training and development to stay aligned with procedures.
• Complete shunter training and operate in line with company standards.
