Job summary

Gi Group are seeking an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver in Hinckley. The role offers strong pay rates (£19.50 p/hour weekdays, £29.25 p/hour overtime) and immediate starts.

Shifts are 21:00–06:45, Monday to Friday with overtime on Sundays, working in a busy hub environment. You will be responsible for safely moving trailers, managing yard operations and positioning vehicles, with an emphasis on safety and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK LGV Class 1 (Cat C+E) licence.
• Hold valid CPC and Digi Card.
• Have a minimum of 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on your licence for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Safely move trailers and position vehicles at the hub.
• Manage yard operations and site movements.
• Ensure safe and efficient vehicle positioning and handling.
