Job summary

XPO Transport Solutions IT Europe is seeking a Class 1 Night Driver for our British Gypsum site in Barrow Upon Soar on a permanent contract. The role operates Monday to Friday, 20:00-06:00.

You will trunk loads between British Gypsum sites, drive new equipment and trailers, and work in a safety-driven environment with FORS compliance. This PAYE position offers a competitive hourly rate of £18.19 per hour.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (C+E) required.
• No more than six penalty points on licence.
• A valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.

Responsibilities

• Trunk full loads between British Gypsum sites.
• Drive new equipment and pull new trailers.
• Work in a safety-driven environment; sites are FORS compliant.
• Loads are handled by British Gypsum; no manual handling.

We're looking for Class 1 HGV Drivers to join us at our British Gypsum site in Barrow Upon Soar on a permanent contract.

You'll be working a Monday to Friday shift pattern 20:00-06:00

You’ll be working a Monday to Friday shift pattern, working nights. In return, we’ll offer you a competitive hourly rate of £18.19 per hour, with the opportunity to work extra shifts on top. The role is PAYE.

What you'll do on a typical day

• Trunk full loads between British Gypsum sites
• Drive new equipment and pull new trailers
• Work in an environment that is highly safety driven. Our sites are Silver Standard FORS compliant
• No manual handling, all loads are loaded and tipped by British Gypsum

What you need to succeed at XPO

• We’ll need you to have a full UK driving licence (with C+E entitlement)
• You’ll have no more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements.
• A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network
