Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd is seeking a Class 1 Driver to join our logistics team. You will cover trunking operations between hubs, carry out load secure, and perform daily vehicle safety checks.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.

• Good geographical knowledge.
• Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Cover a variety of trunking operations, including straight runs between hubs or Burts and designated delivery points, ensuring efficient collection, delivery, and return loading through the hub network.
• Provide cover for internal trunking when required, ensuring all freight is accurately checked and verified against manifests at each depot.
• Load and secure goods to a high standard, using appropriate restraints to prevent movement or damage in transit.
• Carry out thorough daily vehicle safety checks using your company device, maintaining high standards of compliance and reliability.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with the transport team, providing timely updates to support operational efficiency and customer service.
• Attend and engage in regular training to remain compliant with industry regulations and best practice standards.

About the Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will:
