Job summary

The Best Connection Oldham is recruiting HGV Class 1 Night Drivers for an ongoing position based in Middleton, Greater Manchester. You will be responsible for delivering caged products across the UK, operating tail lifts, and completing all checks and paperwork with compliance to Driver Hours regulations.

Start times range from 16:00 to 22:00, with full training during induction and additional weekend work during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card (UK issued).
• Minimum 90 days recorded driving activity on your Digital Tachograph.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Knowledge of the UK motorway network.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle safely and professionally.
• Deliver caged goods to customer sites across the UK.
• Operate a tail lift when required and complete vehicle checks.
• Complete relevant paperwork and comply with regulations.

HGV Class 1 Night Driver | Middleton | Ongoing Work | Immediate Starts

The Best Connection Oldham is currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Night Drivers (C+E) for ongoing work with our well-established client based in Middleton, Greater Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 1 Drivers, CE Drivers, and HGV Night Drivers looking for regular work, competitive pay rates, and long-term assignments.

The Role

As a Class 1 Night Driver, you will be responsible for the delivery of caged products from the distribution centre to customer locations across the UK.

Duties include:

• Driving a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle safely and professionally.
• Delivering caged goods to customer sites.
• Operating a tail lift when required.
• Completing all vehicle checks and relevant paperwork.
• Complying with Driver's Hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Providing excellent customer service during deliveries.

Start times: Between 16:00 and 22:00

Full training will be provided during the initial induction period before moving onto a regular shift pattern.

Additional weekend shifts are available during peak trading periods.

Pay Rates

• Weekdays: £19.00 per hour
• Saturday: £25.87 per hour
• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £34.50 per hour
• Minimum 9 hours guaranteed per shift

Requirements

To be considered for this HGV Class 1 Driver role, you must have:

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card (UK issued)
• Minimum 90 days recorded driving activity on your Digital Tachograph
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Knowledge of the UK motorway network
• Experience working with cage deliveries is advantageous
• Flexible and professional attitude to work
• Excellent reliability and timekeeping
• Two years' checkable work history
• Immediate availability preferred
