Job summary

Royal Mail Group is seeking LGV drivers for part-time, permanent contracts based at Birmingham. You will collect and move mail between sites, drive fixed UK routes, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining cargo security.

Uniform and full training are provided, with shift patterns including weekend slots and overtime opportunities. The role requires a valid UK C&E licence with clean driving record, self-motivation, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Large Goods Vehicle Class 1 licence (C&E) with <=6 penalty points and no TT99 endorsement.
• Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised for long periods.
• Organised, punctual and able to meet tight timelines.
• Flexible to service demands and willing to cover shifts as needed.
• Community minded and committed to keeping the UK connected.

Responsibilities

• Collect and transport mail between sites and to next stage of delivery.
• Drive fixed routes across the UK independently.
• Load/unload vehicle and deliver to schedule while safeguarding cargo.
• Use technology to support job performance with autonomy to complete tasks.
