Job summary

Proman is recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers for ongoing work based in Heywood, Greater Manchester. The role offers a mix of AM, PM and weekend shifts with the potential to become permanent for the right driver.

Trunking UK-wide with chilled and ambient goods, using both box trailers and curtain-siders. A clean, modern fleet and year‑round work are on offer.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence and CPC with Digital Tachograph card.
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Ability to meet timed delivery schedules and maintain high driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Trunking within the UK for chilled and ambient goods.
• Operate with box trailers and curtain-siders.
• Maintain a clean, modern fleet and adhere to schedules.
• Ongoing year‑round work with a reputable distribution operation.

PROMAN is looking for experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers for ongoing work with a well-established distribution operation based in Heywood. This role offers a mix of AM, PM, and weekend shifts, with the potential to become permanent for the right driver.

Pay Rates for Class 1 Drivers

Monday - Friday

• Days: £15.50 per hour (£17.38 with holiday pay)




• Nights: £16.50 per hour (£18.50 with holiday pay)

Saturday

• £17.50 per hour (£19.62 with holiday pay)

Sunday

• £18.50 per hour (£20.73 with holiday pay)
