J. Dickinson & Sons Ltd in Horwich is seeking a dedicated Class 1 Tramping Driver. You will operate our Class 1 vehicles safely and professionally, tramping four nights per week Mon-Thu, and collect and distribute waste across our territory while liaising with customers and staff.

Applicants should hold a valid Class 1 licence and a proven HGV driving history with a clean record. Training is provided for waste-industry experience; excellent communication and initiative are essential, with

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driving licence.
• Proven HGV driving experience with clean record.
• Experience in waste industry is advantageous; training provided.
• Knowledge of transport compliance and Working Time Directive.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work proactively and on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• driving our Class 1 vehicles in a safe and professional manner
• tramping out 4 nights per week (Mon-Thu)
• collecting and distributing waste across our areas of operation
• liaising and communicating effectively with customers, members of the public and our team at J. Dickinson & Sons
• completing and recording pre-use and after-use checks on the vehicle
• representing the company in an appropriate and professional manner at all times
