Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment seeks a Class 1 driver in Preston for ongoing trampings. You will operate a Class 1 vehicle to transport scrap and recycled materials nationwide, keeping safety and regulatory compliance at the forefront. Immediate starts are available with a temporary-to-permanent pathway after 8 weeks.

You must have a valid Class 1 licence, 12 months driving experience, DCPC and Digi-tacho cards, and be UK-resident with access to site travel.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence and at least 12 months of experience.
• UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.
• WTD regulations up to date; endorsements DD, TT, DR, CD, IN not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Driving and operating a Class 1 vehicle for trunking and tramping work.
• Transporting scrap and recycled materials nationwide.
• Collecting and delivering scrap waste while observing site safety.

Job Title: Class 1 Driver -Tramper
Location: Preston
Pay Rate: £18.35 to £21.15 p/h
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 4/5 nights out per week (£25 a night)
Role: Temp to Perm (after 8 weeks)
Experience: 12 months Class 1 essential

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are looking for Class 1 Drivers in Preston to work with our client, whoprovidea global recycling service. You will be driving Class 1vehicle, completing tramping work.

Employee Benefits:

Competitive Salary: £18.35 to £21.15per hour
£18.35 per hour (£16.37 basic + £1.98 holiday pay)
£21.15 per hour overtime after 48 hours (£18.87 basic + £2.28 holiday pay)

All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you:

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

Previous experience working with scrap waste would be beneficial.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
