Job summary

Pertemps Stoke on Trent is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join a busy depot in Stoke-on-Trent. You will handle loading/unloading of parcels and operate single or double-deck trailers on a around-the-clock schedule.

Expect 10–12 hour shifts, weekend work, and start times varying as the operation runs 24 hours. Requires 1 year of Class 1 experience, C+E licence, CPC, and tachograph card.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year HGV Class 1 driving experience, with latest work within the last 6 months.
• Valid C+E licence, CPC card, and digital tachograph card.
• A maximum of 6 penalty points (no major endorsements).

Responsibilities

• Safely loading and unloading cages of letters and parcels.
• Working with both single- and double-deck trailers, with some pushing and pulling involved.
• Average 10–12 hour shifts.
• This is a 24-hour operation with various start times.
• Weekend work is required for this role.
